## Important quality controls

1. Newspaper coverage, institutional features, independent trade-media mentions, award listings, conference organizers' announcements, scholarly indexing, and self-authored outreach are categorically distinct. The portfolio labels those distinctions.
2. Reprints of the same FVSU article are captured for documentary record without suggesting extra independently reported stories.
3. Some award and professional listing dates are **year only**. Any month/day inserted for internal sort order does not imply that exact publication date.
4. The September CV reported $600k beef and $100k zoonotic grants as funded, but award documentation was not independently found in this pass. The website marks them "Confirm award status" rather than claiming confirmed award amounts.
5. Fall 2026 teaching/mentorship figures use the September 2026 CV; instructional support is not presented as instructor-of-record unless specified.
6. Google News RSS is an unofficial discovery feed and may omit or misidentify results; it must not be treated as an exhaustive press-monitoring service. OpenAlex author ID is resolved from ORCID to limit author-matching errors, yet its metadata should still be reviewed.
7. No 2019, 2020 or 2022 **non-scholarly media article** located in reviewed inventory. Scholarly publications of those years still appear under Research Library.
